Hand crafted ‘Carbon vases’ collection
ˈkɑːb(ə)n/
noun
-
the chemical element of atomic number 6, a non-metal which has two main forms (diamond and graphite) and which also occurs in impure form in charcoal, soot, and coal.
Carbon collection consists of three different height vases. Each vase is hand turned on a manual turners wheel and afterwards is placed in an open flame wood kiln. The metallic graphite appearance occurs during oxigen reduction process while firing. Each vase will not only have a slightly different texture and dimentions but also finish depending on how the “flame hugged” each vase.
